Bengaluru: A 45-year-old head constable, who was crossing the railway track, was crushed to death by a speeding train near Yeshwanthapur railway station on Sunday .

The deceased, Huchaiah, was attached to the Rajajinagar traffic police station. He was staying at the police quarters in Rajajinagar along with his wife and two children.

The Railway Police said that the incident occurred around 9 am on Sunday, while Huchaiah was heading for work. As he was crossing the track, the train ran over him. People, who witnessed the accident, informed railway officials.
