Nashik: Twelve juvenile offenders escaped from an observation home in the early hours of Monday in North Maharashtra.

The inmates of 'Kishor Sudhargrih' (children correctional home) scaled the protection wall of the facility at around 3 am and ran away, Vilas Sable, Principal of the remand home, said.

Acting on the complaint, police have launched a search for the children. Sable said strict action will be taken against the remand home staff members responsible for the incident. The observation facility has 40-45 staff members.
