Vijayawada: A video of an inebriated person in Krishna district making an appeal to Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on behalf of drunks has gone viral on social media.

P. Yesupadam, a native of Pedana in Krishna district, claiming to be an ardent follower of Mr Naidu, made a video seeking financial help for drunkards as they are generally ignored.

The video was uploaded on a Facebook page by his friends on Sunday and is being shared widely on the social networking website with social media users considering it funny.

In the video, Yesupadam introduces himself and explains his problems caused by his addiction and lack of money to purchase liquor.

“I can;t stay stable without liquor and there are many in the state like me. If the government gives loans and other benefits we would be thankful,” Yesupadam said.

He sought '400 loan per month. “Many political parties have been formed but no one has formed a liquor party. I could not meet you directly. Hence using this medium”, he said.
