Kochi: Chalakkudy DySP K.K. Raveendran, who harassed a techie at Paliyekkara toll plaza on January 7, has been transferred  to Kasargod.

He also said that Pathanamthitta crime branch SP S. Saju has been posted as Chalakkudy DySP. Mr  Raveendran would serve the Kasargod crime detachment
Mr Chennithala said  action would be initiated against the DySP on the basis of an inquiry report.

Deccan Chronicle  on Saturday reported that the DySP had harassed  the  youth, M.V. Hariram  of Palakkad, near the toll plaza and seized  the documents of the vehicle without giving any receipt.

He posted the video on Facebook and subsequently the news became viral. Mr Hariram had lodged complaints with  the Home Minister, State Police Complaints Authority, Director-General of Police and Director-General of Prosecutions.

The DySP stopped the vehicle of Mr Hariram when it was found that the techie was using an alternate route  to skip the toll.
