Rains to continue for 5 more days: Met

The weather department is expecting a rainfall of 4 mm in the city on Wednesday.

Bengaluru: The city witnessed a dip in the temperature after light showers on Wednesday noon. Both day and night temperature have registered a drop of 1-2 degrees. According to Met department rainfall  during January is confined to mere 1.8 mm and the month usually goes dry. But, last two days have witnessed light showers across the city with misty skies in the morning.

According to the Met department officials the light rains were due to low pressure at mean sea level over Arabian Sea and south interior Karnataka, including Bengaluru, is likely to have light rains for five days.

The weather department is expecting a rainfall of 4 mm in the city on Wednesday. “We cannot call it heavy rain and we are only expecting 4 mm of rainfall. The situation would remain the same for another two days,” said the Weather department official.

The Met officials predict generally cloudy sky with light rains. “The maximum and minimum  temperature is very likely to be around 26 and 20 degree Celsius respectively,” said a weather official.
