Hyderabad: Boost for city power supply
The Telangana State Transmission Corporation is constructing the substations at a cost of Rs 692 crore, an official said.
Hyderabad: The problem of low voltage, three-phase supply being reduced to two and frequent breakdowns is set to be minimised in the city with eight sub-stations getting ready for commissioning.

“The substations will be commissioned in a phased manner to overcome the load problem,” said TSTransco director (transmission) T. Jagath Reddy.
TSTransco has proposed construction of nine other 132/33 kv substations in the capital at an estimated cost of '334 crore.
Substations under construction are:
132/33 KV (gas insulated*): Fever Hospital; Moosarambagh; Pattigadda; NIMS, Narayanguda132/33 KV: Mailar Devulapally SS
220/33 KV: Hayathnagar
220/132/33 KV: Raidurg
*Gas insulated substations are semi indoor and require less land.
