Neighbours never knew of ISIS men
Except Ubedullah's house owner, none of their neighbours knew him.
Hyderabad: Ubedullah Khan and Shareef, the suspected ISIS recruits who were arrested by NIA on Friday are almost strangers for their neighbours in Tolichowki.
Except Ubedullah’s house owner, none of their neighbours knew him, although he was staying with his wife and four kids at the Owaisi colony.
Ubedullah runs a computer repairing centre at Tolichowki X road, but the owner of the space where he runs the business, who knew him for around 10 years, says that the only thing he knew about him is that he was a calm guy who was regular at prayers and a busy man at his shop.
Shareef, a father of five daughters and a son, worked as an electrician and plumber, said a neighbour.
Both the families have vacated the houses after the arrests. However, residents are shocked that they were living with suspected ultras.
Ubedullah Khan, a father of four kids, ran a computer centre named Computer Point. The house owner said that Ubedullah had been staying in his house since two years. The owners gave him the house as he had a shop nearby.
“At 3.30 am on Friday, 15 men knocked on the door of another house on the ground floor and asked for Ubedullah. Not knowing him, they called me. When I came, they introduced themselves and I showed Ubed's house. They caught him and seized some material. Someone said it might be explosives,” said Md Ghulam Moinuddin, the house owner.
Neighbouring shopkeepers said they did not know him. After his arrest his wife and three kids locked up the house and fled without informing house owner Moinuddin.
Shareef Moinuddin, his wife and three daughters stayed in a penthouse at Amina Madina Gulshan Apartments in Tolichowki.
It is learnt that his only son is working in Saudi Arabia and three daughters are married. One daughter is studying in college.
Ms Anjamma, the watcher, woke up on Friday at around 5.30 am, when eight men came asking for Shareef. She directed them to Shareef’s house.
“I met him while he was repairing his house in 2014. I gave him the penthouse only because of his family,” said flat owner Md Abdul Aziz.
After his arrest, his wife and kids fled. Now the only worry of both the owners is whether explosives are still left in the houses.
