Coimbatore: Cycle rally creates awareness on girl child

Over 40 students from class nine and class eleven took part to spread awareness.

The Camford International School students take a cycle rally on National Girl Child Day.

COIMBATORE: On the nippy Sunday morning, boys and girls of the Camford International School took a 28-km bicycle rally to commemorate the National Girl Child Day.

Over 40 students from class nine and class eleven took part to spread
awareness among people to save the girl child and highlight the inequalities faced by the girl child in society.

Students took out the rally from the school campus at 6 am and covered Kavundapalayam, Edyarpalayam, Vadavalli, Thondamuthur and Buluvampatti village spreading the message on the importance of saving the girl child with placards and slogans.

In the previous years, the students along with the school art teachers sculpted and mounted the Statue of Joy in the academic block and created an 840 sq. ft. mosaic using 12000 paper cups, depicting the logo of the National Girl Child Day.
