Hyderabad scholar death: Rally shows UoH students' resolve

Tension prevailed in the morning when police denied entry to students from other educational institutions.

Hyderabad: Hundreds of students from various universities flocked to the UoH in large numbers as part of the ‘Chalo UoH’ call given by the joint action committee which is protesting the death of research scholar Rohith Vemula.

As the students marched in protest, carrying black flags and wearing T-shirts with a picture of Rohith Vemula, a large number of police personnel was deployed to prevent untoward incidents.

Tension prevailed in the morning when police denied entry to students from other educational institutions.

UoH JAC leaders Prabhakar, Prashanth, Venkatesh Chowhan and others demonstrated at the main gate in protest.
