Governor K Rosaiah salutes Martyrs at War Memorial

Governor K. Rosaiah and Chief Minister J. Jayalalithaa salute the national flag during the 67th Republic Day celebrations on Marina beach on Tuesday.

Chennai: On the occasion of Republic Day, the Governor of Tamil Nadu, Dr K. Rosaiah visited the Victory War Memorial before taking the salute at the Parade on Marina Beach to pay homage to the martyrs.

He also laid a wreath in remembrance of all those who had laid down their lives safeguarding the territorial integrity of India.

Buglers sounded the last post followed by two minutes of silence. Lieutenant General Jagbir Singh, General Officer Commanding, Dakshin Bharat Area along with other dignitaries including Air Commodore Rippon Gupta, Air Officer-in-Charge, Air Force Station Tambaram, Rear Admiral Alok Bhatnagar, were also present on the occasion.
