Head master of a private school dies at R-Day function

He died of heart stroke while presiding over Republic Day celebrations.

Karimnagar: A 46-year-old headmaster of a private school died of heart stroke while presiding over Republic Day celebrations on the premises of his institution at Gambhipur village in Kathalapur mandal on Tuesday. The deceased was identified as Soubhadram, correspondent of Novelty Public School, an upper primary institution. He hailed from Kottayam in Kerala.

Soubhadram collapsed all of a sudden when he was breaking a coconut after garlanding portraits of national leaders and hoisting the National Flag. He breathed his last while being shifted to a hospital, said an eyewitness.

Soubhadram is survived by his wife, Mary. He had no children. The couple had migrated to the village 14 years ago and set up the school. Mary took the body of her husband to Kerala in a hired vehicle. She did not lodge a complaint with the police.
