GHMC chief appears before NGT

Hyderabad: Following the arrest warrant issued by the National Green Tribunal against the GHMC commissioner and the Telangana chief secretary, the GHMC chief appeared before the tribunal on Thursday and submitted documents regarding the action taken by the GHMC regarding encroachment of land worth '1 crore in Rajendra Reddy Nagar layout.

The commissioner and special officer personally appeared before the Green Tribunal of Chennai and informed it about the action taken by the GHMC regarding the Rajender Reddy Layout issue at Chandanagar.

After verifying the documents and photographs of the action taken report by the GHMC the tribunal exempted the commissioner from further appearance.
