Hyderabad: After a brief lull, Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao attacked Andhra Pradesh counterpart N. Chandrababu Naidu for focusing on Hyderabad even after bifurcation of the state.

He also asked the Con-gress and the Telugu Desam leaders not to indulge in cheap politics and create unrest in Hyderabad by raking up the bifurcation issue in the GHMC polls.

“If Chandrababu Nai-du wants to sweep, he has space from Hindup-uram (in Anantapur district) to Itchapuram (Srikakulam). There are several towns in AP... Tirupati, Guntur, Vijay-awada and Vizag. He is Chief Minister of Andh-ra Pradesh and he shou-ld focus on his state where he has lot of work to do,” Mr Rao said.

He added, “When he can’t get funds for Amaravati, what will he do for Hyderabad? I wanted to announce some donation for Amaravati, but backed out when Modi gave him water and soil.”

Mr Rao said people of Hyderabad and Telanga-na would not believe Mr Naidu anymore.

Stating Mr Naidu can develop his state and le-ave Telangana to Telan-ganaites, he said AP CM’s campaign was un-necessary in Hydera-bad. “Mr Naidu and his Mama (NTR) ruled un-divided AP for 17 years but did not do much for the state. People don’t believe him anymore. It is a wasteful exercise and he will not reap the fruits,” he said.

Mr Rao was furious with a scribe who said he had promised to do justice to Telangana people after formation of the state but was appeasing Seemandhra people.

“I certainly said I will do justice to Telangana people, but I did not say I will do injustice to Seemandhra people. Your question is wrong. You are provoking me,” he said.

Asked who his rivals are, Mr Rao said he could not say it since he did not see anyone coming close for a fight.

The CM also asserted that all those living in Hyderabad and Telang-ana are Telanganaites and the government wo-uld treat them all equally in all aspects including welfare, development and employment.

He took objection to Congress leaders V. Ha-numantha Rao, Uttam Kumar Reddy and others raking up old issues of bifurcation and that he had called Andhra-ites ‘Rakshas’ (demons).

“Yes, I said it during the Telangana movement. I had also critici-sed the same Congress leaders as useless fellows for backing Samai-khya supporters...like Sanyasulu, Daddamulu etc. I criticised everyone who opposed Telangana. I am proud to be Hyderabadi, I am  with you,” he said.

All Hyderabadis are my children, my people including Bengalis, Maharashtrians among others," he said. He reminded that Mr Naidu demanded imposition of Section 8 over Hyderabad police station so how can he now seek votes. He is trying to provoke people.

Don't indulge in cheap politics and vitiate the environment. The people have decided to vote TRS, he said.
