SEAS exam conducted smoothly across the state
Hyderabad: Schoolchildren in Classes III, VI, and IX from several schools participated in the State Educational Achievement Survey (SEAS), a national-level competency test in mathematics and a language of their choice from among Telugu, English and Urdu. Class IX students faced examinations in the three languages, mathematics, science, and social studies.
The SEAS, organised by Parakh, an organisation established by the Central government to assess students' learning levels, aimed to provide valuable insights into the educational landscape. The model examination began with the first of six practice test on September 23. These tests were prepared based on the learning outcomes of the students.
The papers were distributed in different mediums according to the school's medium of instruction.
The results of the SEAS examination will be used to rank districts and states, similar to the National Achievement Survey, conducted once in three years by the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT).
