NMC grants permission for govt medical college in Nirmal
ADILABAD: The Medical Assessment and Rating Board (MARB) of the National Medical Council (NMC) has granted permission to run the government medical college for the academic year 2023–24 with an intake of 100 students in Nirmal district. A letter of intent for 100 MBBS seats with permission for medical college was issued.
The state government has sanctioned a government medical college with suitable land for Nirmal.
The MARB of the NMC examined the availability of infrastructure facilities at the college, laboratories, library hostels, and hospital, as well as the availability of the faculty and their experience and publications, and residents, nursing, and paramedical staff, along with other facilities available at the government medical college, Nirmal.
Minister Indrakaran Reddy thanked Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao for sanctioning a medical college for Nirmal and providing funds for creating infrastructure to facilitate the same.
