Two from AP secures top ranks in JEE Advanced
VIJAYAWADA: Results of JEE Advanced, held for the filling up of BTech seats in IITs, have been released by IIT Guwahati. Two students from Andhra Pradesh were in the top ten rankers in Common Rank List (CRL).
Ramesh Surya Teja from Chittoor (IIT Hyderabad zone) secured the All India Rank 2 by securing 336/360 marks while Bikkina Abhinav Chowdary (IIT Hyderabad zone) from Gopalapuram Village, Unguturu mandal, Eluru district, secured the All India Rank 7th rank by securing 325 /360 marks.
Another Telugu student from Telangana, Vavila Chidvilas Reddy (Nagar Kurnool), secured the All India first rank. Telugu girl, Nayakanti Naga Bhavyashri, securing AIR 56, stood first in the girls' category.
Second ranker Surya Teja studied in Sambhram School from classes 1 to 3 and in Sai Vignana Bharathi School for classes 4th and 5th in Gangadhara Nellore village. Then he joined the Sainik School, Kalikiri. From classes 8 to Inter second year, he studied in Sri Chaitanya, Madhapur branch, Hyderabad, Telangana.
Seventh ranker Bikkina Abhinav Chowdary finished his schooling in Vikas Public School, Bachupally, Hyderabad. From Class 7 he joined the Sri Chaitanya School and then the same college, Madhapur, Hyderabad.
The exam was conducted in two shifts on June 4. Around 1.80 lakh candidates attended the exams. About 30,000 people wrote from the Telugu states. Along with the latest results, IIT Guwahati has also released the final 'Answer Key'.
The joint seat allocation process (JoSAA 2023) will begin after release of the results.
About 45,000 people will be eligible for 'JoSAA counselling' after deciding the cutoff marks in the examination. Those who passed can register for counselling from June 19.
A.V. Sivaram from Purushottamapatnam of ChilakaluriPet secured AIR 5 and Y.V. Maninder Reddy from Goutami Nagar of Guntur secured AIR 10. Both students studied at Bhashyam Educational Institutions, Guntur. Sivaram’s father Hanumantha Rao is a farmer and his mother Kalavathi works as a supervisor at Market Yard Narasaraopet. Y.V. Manindar Reddy is also from an agricultural family. His parents Srinivasa Reddy and Anuradha are also agriculturists.
