OU PG internals put off to July 26, externals to August 16
Hyderabad: Osmania University has rescheduled its postgraduate internal exams to July 26 and 27, and the final external exams have been pushed to August 16.
This decision came after a meeting on Saturday, which included campus principals, constituent colleges, directors, district PG colleges, academic audit cell, directorate of admissions, controller of exams and chief warden, among others. The meeting was called in response to a three-day student protest and exam boycott due to insufficient time to complete the syllabus.
During the meeting, vice chancellor Prof. D. Ravinder, Registrar P. Laxminarayana, and Prof. B. Reddya Naik discussed various academic and student-related issues with teacher administrators and directed principals to be more attentive to these matters.
Additionally, a reexamination for the MCJ (Masters in Communication & Journalism) entrance under CPGET 23 course will be conducted, with the dates to be announced later.
Furthermore, the meeting addressed concerns about hostels and the introduction of new courses in the current academic year.
In another meeting with administrators from the building division, electrical department, and health centre, maintenance-related issues and the challenges posed by severe monsoon conditions were discussed in detail.
