Telangana Governor confers dental degrees at Army College convocation
Hyderabad: Governor Dr Tamilisai Soundararajan conferred Bachelor in Dental Surgery degrees to 37 students of the Class of 2017 and Masters in Dental Surgery degrees to 13 students for Class of 2019, at the 17th convocation of the Army College of Dental Sciences (ACDS), Secunderabad, on Saturday evening.
The Governor congratulated graduates and their parents and urged them to dedicate their lives in serving the needy. She complimented the faculty of ACDS for providing state-of-the-art facilities and promoting research amongst students.
Major General Rakesh Manocha, General Officer Commanding (GOC), Telangana and Andhra Sub Area (TASA), and ACDS Chairman, officials from the KNR University of Health Sciences and civil dignitaries were in attendance.
The Patron’s rolling trophy, Dakshin Bharat area, for best MDS student was awarded to Dr Agrima Thakur from the department of orthodontics. Dr K. Ranjima bagged the Chief of Army Staff rolling trophy for best all-round student and the General Officer Commanding-in-Chief rolling trophy for best BDS student in academics.
