 Nizamabad/Kamareddy: Group-1 Preliminary examination was conducted peacefully in Nizamabad and Kamareddy districts on Sunday. Of the 12,833 candidates, 9,945 candidates (77.49 per cent) appeared for the examination in 41 centres in Nizamabad.

The examination was conducted peacefully under tight police security. District collector Rajiv Gandhi Hanumanthu and commissioner of police Kalmeshwar Shinganevar visited the examination centres. The collector enquired about arrangements and facilities provided for the candidates. In Kamareddy, of 4,797 candidates, 3,780 candidates appeared for the preliminary examination. 1,017 candidates were absent and attendance registered 78.79 per cent.
