Parineeti Chopra said, \"Change (in our attitudes) needs to come from within us.\"
Suresh Raina, who is the Swachh Ambassador of Uttar Pradesh said, \"Time is of essence, whatever needs to be done has to be done now.\"
The musician also said that the campaign should have started 50 years ago.
Ustad Amjad Ali Khan and his sons Amaan and Ayaan lent their support to the Swachh India campaign and even performed live for the audience.
\"In a little over six-months, we recently succeeded in making Muthavakuntlapalli of Kanaganipalli mandal in Andhra Pradesh a self-sustaining village\", Vivek Oberoi said at the event.
He added, “It is imperative that the initiative witnesses cleanliness in quantitative and qualitative measures.â€
Baba Ramdev also added in a valid point stating that the campaign shouldn't just be used as a photo-op.
At the event Jaya said, “We not only need to teach the children about Swachhta, but also their parents, we cannot leave them out.â€
The campaign aims at getting people, both young and old to lend their time to the cause.
Joining him was Reckitt Benckiser's South Asia Reginal Director, Nitish Kapoor, who committed 20,000 hours on behalf of his organisation.
Being the face of the campaign, Amitbah took the lead and pledged 50 hours this year to clean up drives to achieve the goal of Swachh India.
It was Amitabh vs. Amitabh, as the actor debated on the Swachh Bharat topic with his rubber look-alike.
The campaign aims to get people to pledge their time to join the clean-up drives across India, through the year.
Bollywood celebrities, and prominent faces from sports, music, business fields and even spiritual gurus joined in to lend their support to the cause.
The actor, who is the ambassador for the campaign, attended the show to promote the 12-hour Banega Swachh India Cleanathon.
