Unlike the leading ladies of the past, this new breed of actresses have managed to whip up a perfect blend of sugar, spice and everything nice. 2016 might just be a power packed year with its long line up of badass women characters taking centre stage.
Meet your average looking' girl turn superhero in the action packed series Jessica Jones'. This girls does not only have the looks, but also the brains and to top it all superhuman strength!
While you all wait for the next season of Quantico' to come along, Hayley Atwell as Agent Carter' does a mighty fine job in heels and a pencil skirt. This lady has come a long way since her role in Captain America', the series making it to it's second season just goes on to prove that she is as popular with the boys as she is with the girls.
If there ever was a person to make crazy' look down right sexy', it sure is Margot Robbie as her character Harley Quinn in the upcoming DC film Suicide Squad'.
Sorry Batman and Superman, but our money's on Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman! The actress' entry in the second official Batman Vs Superman' trailer stole all the attention away from the two other superheroes! If that didn't win you over, we are not sure what will.
