Anita Verma-Lallian holds puja in Matthew Perry’s former home
Real estate developer and film producer Anita Verma-Lallian, who recently purchased Matthew Perry's Los Angeles home in Pacific Palisades, shared a glimpse of the stunning property on Instagram. Acquired for $8.55 million, the house was Perry's residence until his passing in 2023.
In her post, Lallian expressed how she immediately fell in love with the home’s unique features, particularly the view of the Pacific Ocean, which made it feel like "the one." She recounted the excitement of seeing the “off-market” property through her agent and deciding to make an offer right away.
“We’re thrilled to share that we bought a home in Los Angeles! The moment I walked in, I absolutely fell in love with the features, especially the ocean view. We knew it was the one,” Lallian wrote.
Respecting her Hindu tradition, Lallian performed a puja (blessing) at the property, emphasizing that her decision was based solely on her love for the home, not its previous owner. She explained, “As a real estate developer, I believe each home carries the energy of the current owner. We chose to honor the positive aspects of Matthew Perry's life and the joy he brought to many. Our decision was purely about the love for this home.”

Lallian described the property as a "piece of paradise" that will serve as a perfect vacation home and confirmed plans to preserve certain design elements, including the Batman logo in the pool. Built in 1965 on 0.4 acres, the 3,500-square-foot house was bought and extensively renovated by Perry in 2020.
Matthew Perry, best known for his role on Friends, passed away at 54 in October 2023 due to complications from ketamine and related factors, leading to his accidental drowning in his hot tub, according to the autopsy report released in December 2023.
