Balayya Roars Again, Daaku Maharaaj Sets Record Openings
Nandamuri Balakrishna has achieved remarkable openings for his latest action-packed film Daaku Maharaaj. "The film has earned over Rs 21 crore on its opening day in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, making a strong start at the box office," says a distributor. He adds that films released during Sankranthi have typically seen strong openings on day one. "Nandamuri fans are celebrating in theaters as vintage Balakrishna returns with another anger-driven role, keeping the audience engaged with his action sequences and powerful performance."
Balakrishna is currently riding high on back-to-back hits like Veera Simha Reddy and Bhagavanth Kesari, and now Daaku Maharaaj has drawn impressive openings. "The film has received a 'mixed' response in some areas, with a few viewers noting that the second half slowed down a bit, but it picked up in the final 20 minutes. The festival season has certainly worked in its favor," he adds.
Balakrishna's fan base continues to grow, thanks to his collaborations with younger directors like Gopichand Malineni, Anil Ravipudi, and Bobby Kolli. These filmmakers are effectively leveraging his larger-than-life image, solidifying his prominent position in Tollywood.
