Trailer review: Himesh Reshammiya gets sexed-up in 'Teraa Surroor'
The film directed by Shawn Aranha tries a global look and succeeds in looking slick and sexy.
Mumbai: After 8 failed attempts to launch himself as a leading man music composer, singer, actor Himesh Reshammiya is back with yet another made-to-order feature film.
The trailer of 'Teraa Surroor' seems far slicker and much more intriguing than anything that Himesh has attempted as an actor. And believe me,he has tried it all, from playing a singer stalked by Mallika Sherawat in 'Aap Ka Surroor' to Akshay Kumar’s sidekick in 'Khiladi 786' to a superstar in 'The Xpose'.
Now he is back slimmer than before. Ah yes, that’s another ongoing trait in Himesh’s career graph as an actor. He sheds some more weight for every performing avatar. In 'Teraa Surroor', he plays a mysterious man out to save a damsel in distress named Tara, played by a very exotic looking Iranian model Farah Kareemi from an International crime syndicate.
Himesh plays a man desperately in love and ready to go to any lengths for it. The film directed by Shawn Aranha (former assistant to Apoorva Lakhia) tries a global look and succeeds in looking slick and sexy. It is shot in European countries where characters talk across a glass partition in a prison.
Himesh does some serious love-making with his beautiful co-star (who looks a bit like Katrina Kaif, Nargis Fakhri and Kitu Gidwani). There is a bare-backed shot of Ms Kareemi on top of the singer and even a long-shot of bare breast. Pahlaj Nihlani already has the scissors out.
Interestingly, the film has stalwarts like Naseeruddin Shah, Kabir Bedi and Shekhar Kapoor in the cast to prop up our leading man’s attempts at making an acting career. Naseeruddin Shah plays a prisoner mouthing this: “Salaakhon ke uss paaar log aksar ghum ho jaaten hain…aisi koi salaakhen nahin jisska chabhi nahi bani”.
But the classic line is given to Shekhar Kapoor who tried very hard to look intense while he mouths this nonsensical line, “Never give a bad girl a good boyfriend.”
We can only hope that the dialogues in the film are better than that.
