I have had a beautiful journey: Sakshi Tanwar

From a small to big screen, Sakshi Tanwar has made a mark for herself in the entertainment industry. While she is adored on the television, audience and fans equally enjoy watching her in films too. Be it her hit serial Kahani Ghar Ghar Ki or starring opposite Aamir Khan as his wife in Dangal to pairing opposite Sunny Deol in Mohalla Assi, Sakshi is a dream to watch.

“I have had a beautiful journey. If I had to summarise it in one word it would be gratitude,” she says.

The actress who is now seen in web series has all the praises for the new medium and is looking forward to work again for the web. “With the advent of web series and platforms like Alt Balaji, Ram and I  have once again been brought together for the third season of Karle Tu Bhi Mohabbat. The third season will begin from where it ended. So I am looking forward to it,” she asserts, adding, “I am also reading and taking narrations of a few scripts. I am in the process of zeroing on a film that I have liked. But unless I sign on the dotted lines, I will not be able to disclose anything about it.”

Since she has all praises for this new medium, does Sakshi also consider this platform to be giving a new lease of life to actors and directors? “Indeed it has not only for theactors , but also for the directors, writers and technicians too. Storytelling has taken a different turn altogether. In films, you have restrictions of time. The whole story has to be told in two and a half hours. But in television, there is no restriction of time and that becomes a challenge. Whereas web-series has the right balance. I enjoy working in films as well. However, right now, I am not keen on doing daily soaps. You will soon see me in a film,” she smiles.

Talking about her long association with producer Ekta Kapoor, the actress reveals it that how they stood through thick and thin that made for a great bond.

“I guess it’s different when there is  a team that puts it all together and they grow together. Having bonded together for such a long duration of time from 2000s when  the daily soaps had just started and her taking over the television scenario brought us closer. Since then, we have shared a great bonding, be it personally or professionally and we share the same bond till date,” she states.

So do you two discuss your children now, “Yes, we do,” she laughs.
