Shubh Mangal Saavdhan trailer: Ayushmann-Bhumi starrer is not 'dysfunctional'
The RS Prasanna directorial, a remake of his own Tamil film 'Kalyana Samayaal Saadham,' reunites its lead pair after 'Dum Lagaake Haisha'.
Mumbai: RS Prasanna's formal foray into Bollywood, 'Shubh Mangal Saavdhan,' is incidentally a remake of his own 2013 directorial, 'Kalyana Samayal Saadham'.
And we aren't complaining one bit, considering how big a cracker the trailer has come out to be.
The film, which reunites 'Dum Lagaake Haisha,'s irresistibly endearing lead pair, Ayushmann Khurrana and Bhumi Pednekar, is a rustic comedy, based on a man's dilemma in being unable to consummate his relationship, courtesy an erectile dysfunction.
The trailer is rich on situational humour and some real crackling chemistry between its lead pair.
The Aanand L Rai production, which features music by Tanishk-Vayu, definitely deserves mad props for basing itself on a tabooed subject and dealing with it utilising appropriate yet hilarious humour, thanks to some very intelligent writing.
'Shubh Mangal Saavdhan' is slated for a September 01 release.
