Spaghetti is easy, but also fattening, so Kareena doesn't make me cook it often: Saif
At the trailer launch of his next movie, Chef, Saif Ali Khan talks about making way for Salman Khan in Race 3.
Saif Ali Khan is a true gentleman, and knows how to make way for other stars, without making it too awkward. Having starred in Race and Race 2, Saif is now making way for Salman Khan in Race 3, and has no issues with it. At the launch of his next movie, Chef, Saif was asked about it and he said, “Rameshji (Taurani) told me about making Race 3 last year with a new cast. We spoke about it and I love Rameshji. And who better than Salman Khan to be cast by him? I wish them both all the best, but I’ve not been approached.”
The trailer of Chef looks rather fresh, and addresses the bond between a father and his son. Saif feels that even with his own kids, it’s been a matter of balancing his personal and professional life. “It’s important to spend time with your children. When I come home, I spend time with him (Taimur). When I shoot nine to nine, we don’t see our children at all. I’m still lucky we have some help at home, and my wife and I balance as much as we can. One of us is around.”
Chef is an official remake of Jon Favreau’s movie of the same name and revolves around a professional chef, who quits his job and launches his own food truck. Saif even went on to learn cooking to make his character look authentic.
“My favourite thing to cook is spaghetti. I still can’t cook Indian food really well. Spaghetti is easy, but it’s also fattening, so my wife doesn’t make me cook this very often, as she doesn’t it eat. I end up eating everything myself,” he laughs. “We’ve cooked in an Amritsar Kitchen too.”
