Kareena Kapoor Khan goes back in time
The actress will be made to look younger using VFX and prosthetic makeup for the flashback sequences in Lal Singh Chaddha.
Kareena Kapoor will be using some prosthetic makeup for her upcoming film Lal Singh Chaddha, which went on the floors recently. The actress needs to look younger in some flashback portions of the film, and she had recently given measurements to the makeup artists for the film, who have been flown in from Hollywood.
“While there will be VFX used to make Kareena look like a 20-year-old, the 39-year-old actress will also be using extensive makeup to look younger in some sequences in the film. Aamir’s character Lal Singh Chaddha narrates the story of his life to a friend over the years, taking the film into multiple flashbacks in a non-linear narrative. So both the central characters Kareena and Aamir will have portions with a younger look, which will require a certain kind of makeup to make the look as authentic as possible,” says a film industry source.
Pritam has been roped in to compose music for the film, which has been written by Atul Kulkarni and adapted from the original screenplay written by Winston Groom. Meanwhile, casting director Mukesh Chhabra has locked in a lot of local artists from Punjab to be a part of the Amritsar schedule of the film.
Lal Singh Chaddha is being directed by Advait Chandan for producer Aamir Khan.
