Ekta Kapoor makes unusual demand before delivering speech at SRK's Ted Talks

The producer is known for her belief in astrology and numerology and she didn't have any qualms placing her demand.

Ekta Kapoor and Shah Rukh Khan's films 'Once Upon Ay Time in Mumbaai Dobaara' and 'Chennai Express' were clashing at the box office, before the former deferred by a week.

Mumbai: Ekta Kapoor has been the undisputed queen of the TV industry all these years, translating some of that success in film production as well.

While her hard work, dedication and choice of the right content have played a major role in the success, she definitely feels astrology has also played its part.

Be it naming her serials and films starting from the letter K, a norm she ‘unfollowed’ later or adding a 'y' to A in ‘Once Upon Ay Time in Mumbaai Dobaara’, Ekta has never hesitated to express her belief in astrology and numerology.

Ekta brought this belief with her when was invited to deliver a speech at Shah Rukh Khan’s TV show ‘Ted Talks India: Nayi Soch’ recently.

According to a report in Mid-day, the producer insisted on speaking for exactly five minutes and forty seconds on the stage, not a minute more, not one less, as advised by her astrologer.

The astrologer felt the particular duration would be a lucky duration for Ekta, who obviously paid heed to the advice.

We wonder if the witty SRK had an interesting take on the unusual demand, but as long as her message comes across well, we don’t think there should be a problem.
