Bollywood Badshah believes that being at the right time in the right place helps you build your journey ahead.

“If you are at the right place and at the right time and meet the right people, it will change things for you.  There’s a book titled Outliers which is about five famous people. They were born at the right time and place so good things happened to them,” says the actor who believes that it is not only about the phase of time but also the kind of work one does.

“I met Aditya Chopra and Karan Johar who are doing a good job. We have together done the kind of films we wanted to do. In the future, we will be doing even better work.  It's not about a phase but also the kind of work you do in that phase will also help you.  Somewhere down the line, I feel being at the right time and right place is of utmost importance,” he adds.

Despite Zero’s tepid response at the box-office, the actor is unfazed and is looking forward to his next project which is a biopic on astronaut Rakesh Sharma.

The actor is happy that he got the opportunity to portray a living legend. “I thank Aamir [Khan] who was to do the film for calling me and telling me about the role as it would suit me.  Whenever I get the time, I will try and spend time with him (Rakesh Sharma),” says the star.

Reminiscing about his earlier days, Shahrukh says, “I think it was ‘84.  I must have been 19 or 20. You always remember certain things that have taken place in your youth. Milkha Singh missed out on the Olympics, Rakesh Sharma was then going to space, Dhanraj Pillay, and Sunil Gavaskar were the talking point. In films, Amitabh Bachchan and Rishi Kapoor were well known. In business, Only Vimal was known. Prakash Padukone was then winning the All England Championship.”
