Watch: Taapsee Pannu is morose and cold in Rozana from Naam Shabana
The film is India's first spin-off, following up on Neeraj Pandey's very successful Akshay Kumar starrer 'Baby'.
Mumbai: Taapsee Pannu already has had two releases in 2017, in 'The Ghazi Attack' and 'Running Shaadi'.
However her most anticipated role this year is in Shivam Nair's 'Naam Shabana,' a spin-off to Neeraj Pandey's highly successful 'Baby'.
The trailer had impressed one and all with Taapsee's delectably morose and no-nonsense act, flanked ably by Manoj Bajpayee and sensational cameos from Akshay Kumar and Anupam Kher.
The first song from the film, 'Rozana,' explores her more personal and emotional side, and Taapsee has underplayed it well, being ruthlessly cold and morose, while finding it difficult to express her affection towards her loved ones.
Sung by Shreya Ghoshal, the melody has been composed by Rochak Kohli.
'Naam Shabana,' also starring Prithviraj Sukumaran and Danny Denzongpa, is set to hit the theatres on March 31.
