Kartik Aaryan overcomes the hurdles of nepotism
In an industry where nepotism continues to rules, Kartik Aaryan's success is laudable and exemplary.
Kartik Aaryan’s new release Luka Chuppi has opened well. In an industry where nepotism rules and sons, daughters, nephews and nieces of hotshot filmmakers are being launched with irrational fanfare, Kartik’s success is exemplary.
He recalls, “When I came from Gwalior to Mumbai to try my luck in films, I couldn’t get proper accommodation. I had nowhere to go. I stayed with whoever would have me. It wasn’t an easy laugh.” Today he can afford his own plush place where his parents and sister can visit him whenever they want.
One hears Kartik has hiked his fee after the super-success of Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety. The actor is neither denying nor confirming the hike. He is simply enjoying the attention he is getting after Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety, especially from the female audience who just can’t get enough of him.
After the release of Luka Chuppi, which is about a smalltown couple secretly living-in together, Kartik has strangers proposing to live-in with him. There is a roaring surging fan base building up progressively for Kartik Aryan among teenage girls in the 13-19 age group.
The fan following began to consolidate after Kartik’s very first film Pyaar Ka Punchnama. But Kartik couldn’t build on that base. It was only after Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety last year that Kartik’s career and popularity soared skywards.
He has no clue why the delay in getting his dues happened. “All I know is, I am grateful for the attention and I am not hiding from the attention. I have waited for this to happen. Why would I want to run away from it?”
