While the controversy of Naseeruddin Shah’s comments on the late Rajesh Khanna still rages, Akshay Kumar has clarified that he has nothing more to add to it. Akshay, who is married to the yesteryear superstar’s daughter Twinkle, said, “It’s okay. Everything is over now. He (Naseeruddin) apologised; let’s move on now.”

The Airlift actor urged people to move on during an interview and wasn’t too pleased when he was further prodded on the issue. “He apologised and it’s over, There’s nothing, so don’t try to get something from me so that you (the media) can write something,” an annoyed Akshay said.

Akshay added that he wants the matter to die down and urged everyone to move on. “Let the industry be together,” he said. “When someone has apologised, you should be gracious enough to say it’s over.”

Veteran actor Naseer, in an interview, had said that the ’70s, as well as when Rajesh Khanna joined in, was when mediocrity came into Bollywood. Most people in the film industry did not take the comment too kindly and the likes of Salim Khan had slammed Naseer for it.

Twinkle herself took to Twitter and wrote, “Sir if u can’t respect the living, respect the dead — mediocrity is attacking a man who can’t respond @NaseerudinShah. (sic)”
