I want to work with Zoya Akhtar: Kareena Kapoor
Kareena has had the good fortune of working with the biggest directors in the industry.
Kareena Kapoor Khan has always been uber selective about her projects. She says, “It’s not a relay race. I am happy doing few films — I have other things to do in life. I want to spend time with family, read, travel and probably take up a wine-making course in France or Italy. I don’t know about a biography but yes, I’d like to pen down my thoughts some day. I just want to do two good films a year. And this year I definitely want to visit the Great Canyon and Iceland.” She adds that she will be watching her newly released film Ki & Ka only later this week. “That’s how I prefer it. I always watch my films after they release.”
In the film, she plays an ambitious career woman married to a homemaker husband. We ask Bebo, if Saif ever becomes like her Ki & Ka husband. “Well, we have people to take care of the house when we are away or when I am shooting. The only thing Saif does at home is play with our dogs,” she says.
Coming back to films, we ask Kareena what she looks for in a role? “Nothing in particular but it has to be interesting, it has to grab my attention. I loved the characters I played in Chameli and Omkara. The role needs to have an X-factor. I would like to work till I die and maybe do something like a The Devil Wears Prada someday.”
Kareena has had the good fortune of working with the biggest directors in the industry. Anyone still on her wish list? She says, “I want to work with Zoya Akhtar. I have worked with almost all the directors and I would like to work with them again.”
She couldn’t watch too many films last year but she did make time for Tanu Weds Manu Returns. “I loved Kangana in the film. I think she is fabulous,” Kareena says, adding that Aamir Khan still remains her favourite actor.
