The actress, who's had a slew of unsuccessful outings in the last few years, is expected to bounce back this time round in great style. And if one is to go by the quality of songs and the peak drama being portrayed on-screen.
The makers of the film have released a new song ‘O Re Kaharo’ which depicts the life of a prostitute in a brothel. The song will surely tug your heartstrings.
Crooned by Kalpana Patowary and Altamash Faridi, the music is composed by Anu Malik. Kausar Munir has penned the lyrics of the song.
Begum Jaan’, an adaption of Bengali hit film ‘Rajkahini’ by Srijit Mukherji, sees Vidya in a never-seen-before avatar. The powerhouse of talent looks intriguingly intense as she dons the role of a madame in a brothel.
The film also stars Naseeruddin Shah, Ila Arun, Gauahar Khan, Pallavi Sharda, Rajit Kapoor, Ashish Vidyarthi, Vivek Mushran, Chunky Pande and others.
'Begum Jaan' is all set to release on April 14.
