Ajay Devgn's Shivaay trailer sets a new benchmark
We get you a few things that make the trailer of Shivaay, Ajay Devgn's first directorial in eight years, special.
Ajay Devgn has spent a year-and-a-half going unshaved and sporting a certain look for his next directorial, Shivaay. The dedicated actor went all the way to the top of Balkan mountains, shot in extreme conditions and left no stone unturned for his Diwali release.
While the actor, who is also directing the venture, is all set to share the film’s trailer this week, we get you an exclusive preview of the trailer, which will be launched in Indore. And from what we’ve seen it’s clear that the movie has all the elements to be a huge money-spinner when it releases.
Ajay Devgn as Shivaay:
The trailer is fast, crisp and is packed with lots of visuals from the film. Ajay Devgn makes a dramatic entry in the trailer, which doesn’t really focus on his chiselled body. While Ajay’s physique is one of the highlights, the focus is more on narrating the journey of a man and his hurdles. Ajay looks intense in the opening shot and the trailer doesn’t give away much about the story line.
High-octane action:
Being the son of an action director, the ability to execute action scenes to perfection is something Ajay carries in his blood. Returning to direction after eight years, the actor/director has pulled out something special when it comes to action in the movie. Let’s just say that it sets a new benchmark for Bollywood films. It’s not just about how spectacular the visuals of these action scenes are, but it also about the execution.
Balkain Mountains:
Major portions of the trailer have stunning visuals of the Balkan Mountains, where the actor shot the film’s most important portion. It shows Ajay climbing up the mountain, hanging from the edge of the cliff and performing daredevil stunts. As a director and as an actor he succeeds in making you part of his difficult journey and makes sure you don’t blink.
Trailer impact:
Apart from how the trailer has been edited, major credit should go to the background music, especially the one song highlighted in the trailer, as well. Composed by Mithoon, the score is on par with Hollywood in terms of quality. Mithoon has really moved out of his comfort zone and has come up with a brilliant score. The trailer is all set to come out next week on August 7, and Ajay will be launching it in Indore.
