Farhan Akhtar does not want Hrithik Roshan's Kaabil' to do better than his Raees'
Farhan Akhtar admits to not competing with Hrithik's Kaabil' but does not want Hrithik to do better than him.
Mumbai: While everyone seems to be concerned about the inevitable clash between two big banner films ‘Raees’ and ‘Kaabil’, Farhan looks at it a different way.
Contrary to reports, Farhan has clearly denied to postponing the release date of ‘Raees’ which releases along with Hrithik’s ‘Kaabil’ on January 26 next year. He said that he is not even considering competing with the Roshans as they are family to him.
He hopes ‘Kaabil’ too does well at the box office if not better than ‘Raees’.
“There are just so many Fridays in a year. Then there are those weeks like the shraadh or pre-Diwali and pre-Eid when one can’t release one’s film. So where does one go?” Farhan was reported as saying.
Although Rakesh Roshan was upset with the makers for choosing January 26 as the release date, Farhan feels two equally big movies can do great business simultaneously and cited the example of ‘Dilwale’ and ‘Bajirao Mastani’ releases.
