Bit of acknowledgment from folks would be nice: Sushant S Rajput on award drought
The actor is vocal about his disappointment over not being bestowed with the Best Actor award.
Mumbai: For Sushant Singh Rajput, 2016 was somewhat a rollercoaster ride. If the reel life portrayal of Captain cool Mahendra Singh Dhoni arned him accolades, his love life came to a standstill after he parted ways with his partner of seven years, Ankita Lokhande.
Both trauma and triumph fail to baffle the movie star as he “lacks skill to think about past and future in a deep sense.” He would rather focus on what present has to offer than reflecting on times that have passed by or working himself up contemplating future.
But that does not stop him from hurting form time to time. When a popular daily asked for his reaction on not winning the ‘Best Actor’ award for M S Dhoni’s biopic, the actor openly confessed to being a in a ‘slightly awkward’ position.
“I won’t lie. If I’m there to witness the awards, I do feel slightly awkward when I don’t win. A bit of acknowledgment from you folks could be a nice feeling. Having said that, me getting or not getting an award does not in any manner affect the way I go about my next project or my equation with my work,” Rajput was quoted as saying.
He will next be seen in romantic flick ‘Raabta’ opposite Kriti Sanon.
