AR Rahman picks 7 promising voices, singers to share stage with him at concert
The maestro wished Rajinikanth before talking about a concert to celebrate 25 years in music.
The Mozart of Madras A.R.Rahman congratulated 'Superstar' Rajinikanth on his political entry and vouched for a strong leadership in Tamil Nadu. Speaking at a press meet to announce his upcoming concert in Chennai, 7Up's 'Netru Indru Naalai", the maestro sounded positive about the new development in politics into which Rajini promises to bring a touch of spiritualism.
"I saw YouTube videos of his speech and believe that he means good, when he speaks about spiritual politics", the music director said. When asked about whether he would support Rajinikanth, he said that a decision would be taken at the appropriate moment.
Rahman presented the seven winners of 7Up Tamizh Naattin Kural, singers selected to perform with him in the upcoming concert to celebrate his completing 25 years in music industry on January 12. The seven winners will undergo training before performing, with one among them to be awarded a one-year scholarship at A.R.Rahman's globally renowned KM Music Conservatory.
"It was a tough task for our jury to shortlist and select the final seven winners. I am looking forward to celebrate this spirit of Tamil Nadu with the seven chosen winners at the concert in Chennai", he said, when asked about the winners.
