Mumbai: Sridevi is gone too soon, but she will always stay immortal in people’s hearts. The actress was in fact even paid a tribute at the recently held Oscars.

Bollywood celebs expressed their gladness due to the gesture at the 90th Academy Awards. Here are some of the tweets:

In fact Aamir Khan, who launched Rajkumar Hirani’s wife’s book at an event recently, also said, “My heart goes out to Boney and her children. It’s very saddening and untimely. She deserved the Oscar mention.”

While talking to BollywoodLife, Ajay Devgn mentioned, “Nobody can replace her, she has been the best! It will take us years to find someone like her, actually replacement is not possible. It is a big loss for all of us.” Ileana, on the other hand, added, “If at all we do speak about it anymore, it should be spoken in a positive light. People should keep in mind the family sentiments, so whatever you say, be a little more sensitive. Think about her in a positive way. She was an amazing actor and a huge star. We will miss her. But the great thing is that films stay forever, so we will get to see her lovely films.”

Karan Johar was even supposed to make a film with Sridevi, after giving the late actress’ daughter Janhvi a grand launch with ‘Dhadak’, the Hindi remake of ‘Sairat’.

A source from the talent hunt reality show, India’s Next Superstars that KJo judges alongside Rohit Shetty, told Mumbai Mirror, “Karan revealed that Sridevi was elated when he proposed to launch her daughter Janhvi in Dhadak. Exactly a week later, he went to her residence again to ask if she can be a part of another Dharma film that he had conceptualised. Sridevi had loved the idea of the movie and they were supposed to begin shooting in April. However, life struck with its uncertainty and Sridevi was taken away before Karan had a chance to work with her for the first time.”

It is now known that Juhi Chawla replaced Sridevi as the late actress rejected to play Juhi’s role in ‘Darr’. But did you know that Juhi Chawla too rejected a role which eventually went to Sridevi?

Neha Dhupia, on the sets of her TV show, asked Juhi to name a movie she regrets not signing. To this, Juhi surprisingly had many names to reveal. The movies that were originally offered to her were ‘Judaai’, ‘Dil To Pagal Hai’, ‘Biwi No 1’ and even ‘Raja Hindustani’.
