Clash averted: No Ranbir Kapoor's Sanju vs Salman Khan's Race 3 in Pakistan
Interestingly, release of Race 3' could carry the trailer of Sanju' not only in India but also in Pakistan.
The news about Salman Khan’s ‘Race 3’ clashing with Ranbir Kapoor’s ‘Sanju’, a biopic on actor Sanjay Dutt, in Pakistan, made the rounds of the internet recently.
But now it looks like the clash has been averted thanks to the request by local film distributors who know that Salman Khan films make good business in the country and more delay will lead to loss.
Thus, the Chairman of Central Board of Film Censors (CBFC) Danyal Gillani, according to a report on Mid-Day, came to a decision that Bollywood movies will be banned only for a week (rather than the original decision of ban for two weeks) and hence, ‘Race 3’ will release on 22nd June while ‘Sanju’ will make its way to the theatres on 29th June.
Interestingly, ‘Race 3’ could carry the trailer of ‘Sanju’ not only in India but also in Pakistan, thus ensuring that at least somewhere Ranbir and Salman will be on the same screen.
