Sairat remake: Ishan Khattar and Jhanvi Kapoor's film to go on floors in December
The Hindi remake of Marathi blockbuster Sairat which will be co-produced by Karan Johar.
Mumbai: After months of delay, the Hindi remake of Sairat is finally on the track.The film will go on the floors on December 1 and will be co-produced under the banner of Karan Johar's Dharma Productions. This film will mark Bollywood debut of Sridevi’s daughter, Jhanvi Kapoor alongside Shahid Kapoor's brother Ishaan Khattar.
For those who are unaware, Sairat, a film directed by Nagraj Manjule on a shoe-string budget, garnered an unprecedented response when it released a couple of years back and it also went to became the first Marathi film to earn Rs 100 crore at the box office.
Trade analyst Ramesh Bala took to Twitter to confirm the news and wrote, “#JhanviKapoor and #IshaanKhattar starrer Hindi remake of Marathi Blockbuster #Sairat will go on da floors from Dec 1st.. @karanjohar co-prod”.

Helmed by Shashank Khaitan, the first schedule of the film will roll in North India.
On the related note, Jhanvi Kapoor’s contemporary and Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh’s daughter Sara Ali Khan has already wrapped up the shoot for her debut film Kedarnath where she will be seen opposite Sushant Singh Rajput. This Abhishek Kapoor film is slated to release on December 21st, 2018.
