Exclusive: Bipasha Basu and Karan Singh Grover seek work as a couple

They may have ruled the roost at one point in time, but Bipasha Basu and Karan Singh Grover aren’t exactly the toast of Tinsel town anymore. Bips’ last outings Alone and Creature 3D fared poorly at the box office while Karan’s Hate Story 3 did well only in two tier cities. Despite the debacle of their last outing together — Alone — the two are trying to bag an offer where they can appear as a couple on the telly. Says a source, “Their talent agency is trying hard to pitch them as a couple judge for reality shows, but nothing has worked out so far as the channels aren’t very happy about their market value, so to speak.” Not so long ago, we told you about how the couple fell out with its former talent manager because the latter wasn’t able to bring enough exciting work to the table.

A well-placed source informs us that Bipasha didn’t show up at a fashion event in London recently, despite taking the signing amount from its organisers. We tried to contact the actress for the same, but she remained unavailable for comment.

Bipasha's spokesperson says, "Bipasha has always had a spotless reputation for more than 15 years in the industry and has been a thorough professional. Unfortunately, the organisers didn’t honour their commitment as promised in terms of hospitality and logistics , on landing Bipasha had to book her own hotel stay. What happened was completely unprofessional on the organisers part."
