Vidya Balan releases first poster of Begum Jaan and it is intense!

Mumbai: ‘Begum Jaan’, an adaption of Bengali hit film ‘Rajkahini’ by Srijit Mukherji, sees Vidya in a never-seen-before avatar. The powerhouse of talent looks intriguingly intense as she dons the role of a madame in a brothel.

Kohl-rimmed fierce-looking eyes, hair let loose and a devil-may-care attitude, Vidya’s look for this film, set in the partition era, reminds us of her daring persona in ‘Dirty Picture’. If not more, she has brought same the level of intensity in her character with eyes doing all the bashing. Winner already!

The National Award-winning actress took to Twitter to release its first look and it is so gripping. Vidya captioned the first look: Aa rahi hoon main! #BegumJaanFirstLook @visheshfilms @srijitspeaketh.

The film also stars Naseeruddin Shah, Ila Arun, Gauahar Khan, Pallavi Sharda, Rajit Kapoor, Ashish Vidyarthi, Vivek Mushran, Chunky Pandey, Poonam Singh Rajput, Ridheema Tiwari, Flora Saini, Priyanka Setia, Mishti Chakraborty, Sumit Nijhawan, Pitobash and Rajesh Sharma in crucial roles.

'Begum Jaan' is all set to release on April 14.
