Baadshaho is not a porn film: Ajay denies chopping his love-scene with Ileana
Reports suggested that the makers deleted intimate scenes as to escape the wrath of the scissor friendly CBFC.
Mumbai: Pahlaj Nihalani led CBFC has proved to be a thorn in the lives of most filmmakers, courtesy the unreasonable cuts that the censor board issues in the films these days, most recent one being Babumoshai Bandookbaaz.
However at a press conference held on Monday to announce the trailer launch of Baadshaho, Ajay Devgn dismissed reports of taming down intimate sequences between himself and Ileana D'Cruz as to escape the wrath of the scissor friendly CBFC.
Answering a question relating to the same, a poker faced Ajay said, "This is not true. We have not made a porn film."
Baadshaho which stars Ajay Devgn, Ileana D'Cruz, Emraan Hashmi and Esha Gupta in lead roles apparently has some sizzling sequences between Ajay and Ileana as can be seen from the trailer. Combine this with Emraan Hashmi saying that he has left Ajay with the mantle of taking over the kissing sequences something that the former was long known for. However Ajay has made it clear there is nothing so sexually loaded in the film that should deem it objectionable.
Director Milan Lutharia too espoused Ajay's statements and emphasised that there was no question of locking horns with the CBFC over the content of the film.
Nobody is allowed to trim down the film except for the core team. These( reports) are all conjectures" said Lutharia and added that there was also no concern about Baadshaho facing problems with CBFC for a portraying the period of Indian emergency unlike Indu Sarkar.
"That film had a political approach and our film is an action adventure with the period of emergency acting as a backdrop."
Summing the CBFC discussion was Ajay who said, "I have never faced any problems as a director-producer with the CBFC. All you need to do is rationalise with them."
Baadshaho will release in theatres across India on September 1, 2017
