Ayaan not shy like me, says Emraan Hashmi
The actor also admits that the paparazzi culture has surged in the last few years and it is not possible to avoid them.
The roles he plays on screen may be larger-than-life but off-screen, Emraan Hashmi prefers to keep his personal life private. “My family prefers to lead a life of anonymity. But my son Ayaan is enamoured by the world of glitz and glamour,” says Emraan revealing how his son runs to pose when he spots the paparazzi. “Nowadays, we cannot avoid being clicked at all. Therefore, I don’t frequent restaurants much,” he adds.
The actor also admits that the paparazzi culture has surged in the last few years and it is not possible to avoid them. “When you are going to the airport or walking out of your building, the paps are always there. You have no choice but you can try to keep your kids away from the attention,” he says adding that his son doesn’t mind the attention and even wants to follow his father’s footsteps. “He is not shy like me. I am an introvert and don’t like attention. I let my craft do the talking. I try to make him understand that he needs to have a back-up as everything depends on how the audience accepts you.”
For now, Ayaan has to first complete his education and may soon be sent to a boarding school. “I will send him away for a better education and not to keep him away from the glamour world. Our children are growing in the world of selfie cameras and they are used to it.”
