Want to romance again: Anil Kapoor
Switching gears to Malang, Anil says that director Mohit Suri is responsible for bringing him on board the film.
Anil Kapoor stole the show at the recent trailer launch of his upcoming film, Malang, even while all his co-stars Aditya Roy Kapoor and Disha Patani were present. The dynamic actor joked that he wanted to be younger again and have extra fun on sets.
“Looking at the young lead actors romancing on motorbikes, I too felt like romancing all over again. How I wish I was as young as Aditya and Disha; I could have enjoyed puffing a chillum and doing all that masti (fun) that these two did while acting in front of the cameras,” he laughs.
Switching gears to Malang, Anil says that director Mohit Suri is responsible for bringing him on board the film. “My journey started with one phone call from director Mohit Suri. He wanted to narrate the story and a character that he thought would fit me well,” he shares, adding that working with Mohit was an incentive to take on the film as well.
“I have met Mohit many times before, but we did not get the opportunity to work together. Undeniably, after hearing the narration, I got a little confused. This was that typical Mohit Suri kind of a film.
Nonetheless, I wished to take up the role that Kunal Khemu is now performing in the film. Luv Ranjan and Mohit Suri somehow convinced me to do the role that I am doing in the film. I am happy that they were able to convince me to do it as I feel this role is great,” he concludes with a smile.
