Mumbai: Tamannaah, who delivered one of the biggest hits of her career with Baahubali, seems to be on a roll. We hear that the actress has now been approached to be part of Ajay Devgn’s next venture, which is a remake of the National Award-winning Tamil film Jigarthanda. “The makers are keen to cast Tamannaah for the film. In fact, they have already approached her. She also seems interested in the project, but hasn’t signed anything yet,” a source close to the film said.
The film, produced by Ajay, will see Farhan Akhtar and Sanjay Dutt playing the key roles of an assistant director and gangster respectively. The remake will be helmed by Nishikant Kamat. The premise of the original Jigarthanda was based on an assistant director, who gets fired from a reality TV show. He then decides to make a film on real-life gangster Assault Sethu, who was originally played by Bobby Simhaa.
