Sanjay Dutt's Marco Bhau pushed indefinitely
The film, which was expected to go on floors in November last year in Goa and Chennai, seems to be pushed for an indefinite period now.
While Sanjay Dutt is all geared up to star in Shailaja Dhar’s upcoming Marco Bhau, the director’s brother, Vidhu Vinod Chopra, seems less than happy with the final draft of the script. The film, which was expected to go on floors in November last year in Goa and Chennai, seems to be pushed for an indefinite period now.
Says a close source, “There were rumours that the film has been shelved, but this isn’t true at all. The director is taking her own sweet time to rewrite the whole script. Hence the film has been put on the backburner for a while.”
Earlier reports had suggested that Sanjay had loved the first draft of the movie, as well as his role of a stuntman. The final draft of the script was even ready quite a while ago, and the production team was supposed to fly to Goa and start filming. However, Vidhu scrapped the script at the eleventh hour, asking Shailaja to rewrite it. As a result, the movie was pushed to 2017.
Sanjay, though, is prepping for his role, according to the source. “Sanjay has shared a good working rapport with his stuntmen, and hence he’s reportedly been planning to spend some time to pick up tricks and nuances for this film,” the source added.
