Emraan Hashmi has penned down the journey of his six-year-old son Ayaan titled 'The Kiss of Life- How a Superhero and My Son Defeated Cancer' co-authored with Bilal Siddiqi.
It traces the physical pain of the child, who was diagnosed with cancer at the age of 3 years and 10 months. It beautifully describes the diagnosis through the treatment to two cancer-free years. Apart from detailing his own personal and emotional struggles, Emraan also took guidance from his son’s pediatrician.
Ayaan was told that he had a malignant tumour in the kidney after the second round of chemotherapy. He was taken to Toronto for treatment where at the hospital's child psychology kids were taught to fight Cancer.
The book also reflects how Emraan developed a strong sense of empathy and how he coped by with the depressing scenario. According to reports, the idea came from best-selling author Hussain Zaidi, who insisted that he document the journey when it was still fresh in his mind.
On the work front, Emraan will be next seen in Tony D'Souza's directorial 'Azhar.'
